From performing the most demanding arias, to an emotional rendition of the U.S. National Anthem at Dodger Stadium, Ms. Clark takes command of her stage with a warmth and generosity of spirit that audiences take to heart. Her portrayal of Olympia in Les Contes d\u2019Hoffmann, was hailed by ReviewPlays.com, \u201cThe audience loved her staccato moves as her voice flirts with almost unreachable heights with the most natural ease and style.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Most recently Ms. Clark, singing the title role of Juliette, headed a Reprtory Opera cast in Rom\u00e9o et Juliette, that had attendees offering, \u201c\u2026abundant applause and \u2018Bravo!\u2019 cheers throughout, and a standing ovation at the end.\u201d Other principal performances include Constanza in the Celestial Opera Company\u2019s The Abduction from the Seraglio, Norina in Don Pasquale with both Pasadena Opera and Repertory Opera, and Blonde in Intimate Opera\u2019s Yanked from the Harem.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Clark\u2019s performance in the title role of Lucia in Repertory Opera\u2019s production of Donizetti\u2019s Lucia di Lammermoor, took hold of audiences with her breathtaking color and range. She has also portrayed Adina in The Elixir of Love with Intimate Opera, Madame Goldentrill in The Impresario with USC Thornton Opera, and has performed multiple renditions of the menacing Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute with Riverside Lyric Opera, Repertory Opera, Pasadena Lyric Opera, Bakersfield Symphony, Pacific Palisade Symphony and USC Thornton Opera.<\/p>\n<p>Her career highlights include a series of performances in Croatia where she sang in concerts at the Rector\u2019s Palace in Dubrovnik and for Croatian national television. Ms. Clark also performed for Mexican dignataries in Ensenada Mexico singing with the Riverside Lyric Opera and the Ensenada Chamber Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>The stunning clarity of Ms. Clark\u2019s voice, her vocal strength, and the emotional connection she finds with her audiences has led to performances in a variety of genres. She has recently added more contemporary pieces to her repertoire, mastering original works, such as Emily by local composer James Woodward, and the premier of Imperceptible by local composer Jenni Brandon.\u00a0 In a recent performance of Ms. Brandon\u2019s works, the Crescenta Valley Weekly asserted, \u201cSoprano Keiko Clark\u2026 performed the work with superb vocal luster and total emotional commitment. The heartbreak pulsating in the notes\u2026 were brought to life through Clark.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A native of Tokyo, Japan, Ms. Clark trained under a scholarship with legendary tenor Carlo Bergonzi. She holds a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California, a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory in Boston, as well as a teaching credential from Cal State Long Beach, Calif.
